Start with 1 per 50

Plan 1 porta potty for every 50 guests at an event up to 4 hours.

Longer? Serving drinks?

4–8 hours: add 1 unit per 100 guests. Alcohol: add 1 more per 100 guests.

Accessible units and sinks

Make at least 5% of units wheelchair-accessible (2010 ADA Standards 213.2). Add 1 hand wash station per 4 toilets.

Worked example

150 guests, 6 hours, a bar: 3 + 2 + 2 = 7 units, with 1 accessible and 2 hand wash stations.
