Who answers the phone when you call?
A Dayton dispatcher answers (937) 230-2836 live, Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. That dispatcher sees the truck schedule, so you get a clear yes or no on your delivery date during the first call. Colin Rental Works is locally owned by Colin, with dispatch and the yard in Dayton.
There is no phone menu and no transfer to another state. The person who takes your order is the same team that plans the trucks, so questions about gates, slopes or a tight date get answered on the spot.
If you would rather type than talk, text the same number or use the quote form on the contact page. Forms sent during office hours get an answer within 1 business hour.
How does dispatch plan your delivery?
Dispatch builds each day's routes from the Dayton yard, and deliveries run between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving. Same-day delivery is possible in Zones 1 and 2 when you call by 12:00 noon, for a flat $50 rush fee.
Here is what happens after you book:
- You get a confirmation by text or email with the date, the units and the itemized total.
- Your placement notes go on the order, including gate codes, soft ground, low wires and where the door should face.
- The driver sets the unit on the spot you marked. Nobody needs to be home.
- Service crews visit weekly on long-term rentals and leave a slip or text after each visit.
- Pickup happens on the set date for events, or when you call or text on 28-day rentals.
Weekend events get a Friday drop and a Monday pickup at no extra charge, because trucks don't run on Sunday. Rush orders are covered on the same-day porta potty rental page.
How far do our trucks go?
Colin Rental Works delivers within about 80 miles of Dayton. Zone 1, roughly 25 miles around the city, includes event delivery in the price. Zone 2 (25–50 miles) adds $40, and Zone 3 (50–80 miles), which reaches Cincinnati and Columbus, adds $95 and needs about 2 business days of notice.
That area covers 18 Ohio counties plus Wayne County, Indiana. Find your town on the service area page, or read your ZIP code to the dispatcher for a firm answer.
What equipment do we rent?
Colin Rental Works rents PolyJohn units: the PJN3 standard porta potty, the Fleet flushing unit with a sink, the Comfort XL wheelchair-accessible unit and the 2-sink Bravo hand wash station. 2-stall and 4-stall restroom trailers cover weddings and long events. The standard and deluxe units each hold 60 gallons.
| Unit | Model | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard porta potty | PolyJohn PJN3 | Job sites, home projects, casual parties |
| Deluxe flushing unit with sink | PolyJohn Fleet | Weddings, showers, backyard parties |
| Wheelchair-accessible unit | PolyJohn Comfort XL | Public events, guests using wheelchairs, parents with kids |
| Hand wash station | PolyJohn Bravo (2 sinks) | Food service, job sites, events with 50+ guests |
| Restroom trailer | 2-stall or 4-stall towable | Weddings, corporate events, long outdoor events |
Towable units for moving crews and a single flushing restroom cabin are quoted by phone. Specs on each unit page are the manufacturer's figures.
Why is every quote itemized?
Every quote from Colin Rental Works lists each charge on its own line: the unit, delivery and pickup, any zone fee, servicing, any $50 rush fee and sales tax. You see the total before you pay, and nothing is added after you book unless you choose to add a unit or a service.
Surprise fees on a portable toilet bill are a common complaint, so this site publishes starting prices and what each one includes. The porta potty rental cost guide walks through a full quote, and the rental terms spell out cancellation, billing and damage rules in plain language.
