How does same day porta potty rental work?
Same day porta potty rental is available Monday through Saturday when you call by 12:00 noon and the site is in Zone 1 or Zone 2. The dispatcher checks the routes and confirms on the call whether a truck can make it. Calls after noon go on the next morning's route.
| When you call | Zones 1–2 (within ~50 miles) | Zone 3 (50–80 miles) |
|---|---|---|
| Mon–Sat, before noon | Same day, when dispatch confirms a truck | Only if a truck is already routed there |
| Mon–Fri, after noon | Next morning's route | Plan on 2 business days |
| Saturday after noon | Monday | Plan on 2 business days |
| Sunday | Office closed; call Monday at 7 a.m. | Office closed |
Zone 1 covers about 25 miles around Dayton: Montgomery and Greene counties, southern Miami County and northern Warren County. Zone 2 reaches about 50 miles, including Springfield, Middletown, Hamilton, Lebanon, Mason, Sidney, Greenville, Urbana, Eaton and Wilmington.
Need it today?
A local dispatcher answers Mon–Sat, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.. Have your ZIP, dates and headcount ready, and you get an itemized price on the call.
What does same-day delivery cost?
Same-day delivery adds a flat $50 rush fee to the normal rental price. The rush fee is its own line on the quote, so you can see it next to the unit, delivery and tax. A standard event unit in Zone 1 starts at $215 with the rush fee.
| Order (standard unit, Zone 1) | Rental | Delivery and pickup | Rush fee | Starting total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Event, 1–3 days | $165 | Included | $50 | $215 |
| One week, 1 service | $195 | Included | $50 | $245 |
| 28-day cycle, weekly service | $175 | $75 | $50 | $300 |
Totals are before tax. Zone 2 adds $40. Next-day delivery skips the $50 rush fee, so if tomorrow morning works, it costs less. Nothing is added after you book unless you add service. Full pricing is in the porta potty rental cost guide.
What does the dispatcher need from you?
The dispatcher needs 5 things to book a same-day porta potty: the ZIP code and address, where the unit goes, which unit you need, any gate code or access note, and a phone number that can take a text. Having them ready keeps the call short and the truck on time.
- ZIP code and address: this sets the zone and which truck can reach you.
- Placement: driveway, backyard, job site corner or parking lot. Firm, level ground within about 15 feet of where the truck parks.
- Unit: standard, deluxe flushing, wheelchair-accessible or hand wash station, and how many.
- Access: gate codes, locked gates, low wires, soft lawns. Gates need 48 inches clear.
- How long: a weekend, a week or a 28-day cycle.
Pay by card over the phone or through a secure text or email pay link. Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover are accepted.
What arrives on the truck?
A same-day order usually arrives as a standard PolyJohn PJN3 porta potty, cleaned, pumped and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The standard unit has a seat, a urinal and a 60-gallon tank, and needs no hookups. A free padlock hasp comes on request.

Deluxe flushing units, wheelchair-accessible units and hand wash stations can go out the same day when one is in the yard. Ask on the call. Restroom trailers need power and water planning, so book those ahead.
The driver calls or texts about 30 minutes before arriving. Nobody needs to be there; mark the spot with a cone or chalk X, or text a photo.
Which emergencies need a porta potty today?
The most common same-day needs are a failed septic system, a supplier that did not show up at a job site, and a surprise inspection that finds too few toilets. Each one can usually be solved with 1 standard unit delivered the same afternoon when you call by noon.
- Septic or sewer failure at home: start a 28-day rental so you are covered through the repair. The home porta potty rental page covers placement at a house.
- Supplier no-show on a job site: we bring a unit today, and weekly service starts from there. See construction porta potty rental for OSHA counts.
- Surprise inspection: OSHA Table D-1 requires 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers once a crew reaches 20. Add units or a hand wash station to close the gap.
- Event short on toilets: more guests confirmed than planned, or a venue restroom broke.
What if I call after noon or on Sunday?
Calls after 12:00 noon on Monday through Friday go on the next morning's route, with no rush fee. A Saturday call after noon is delivered Monday, because there are no Sunday deliveries. The office is closed Sunday and reopens Monday at 7 a.m.
Ask for a morning-drop note on a next-day order. The route honors it when it can, though no exact arrival time is promised. Deliveries run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For a Sunday event, book by Saturday noon at the latest, and earlier in May through October. Weekend units drop Friday or Saturday and pick up Monday at no extra charge.
