How does monthly porta potty rental billing work?
Monthly porta potty rental is billed every 28 days, not by calendar month, so a year has 13 cycles. A standard unit starts at $175 per cycle plus a one-time $75 delivery and pickup. Weekly service is included, and the cycle renews until you call or text for pickup.
| What you pay | Standard | Deluxe flushing | Wheelchair-accessible | Hand wash station |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Per 28-day cycle, from | $175 | $265 | $245 | $150 |
| Weekly service | Included | Included | Included | Weekly refill included |
Every long-term rental adds a one-time delivery and pickup line: $75 for a standard unit, and quoted for other units. Zone 2 adds $40 and Zone 3 adds $95. Prices are before tax.
When billing stops
Billing stops on the day you request pickup, not the day the truck arrives. After the first cycle, you are never auto-charged for a cycle you did not use. Longer rentals do not repeat the delivery fee, so cycle two onward costs just the unit rate.
Ready to book or price it out?
A local dispatcher answers Mon–Sat, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.. Have your ZIP, dates and headcount ready, and you get an itemized price on the call.
What happens at each weekly service visit?
Each weekly visit on a long-term rental covers 5 steps: pump the 60-gallon tank, scrub the inside, refill the blue deodorizer, restock toilet paper and refill sanitizer. Deluxe units and hand wash stations also get fresh water, soap and towels. You get a service slip or text after every visit.
A 28-day cycle includes 4 weekly services. Service follows a set day when the route allows, so the unit is clean on a predictable schedule.
From November through March, each service adds non-toxic antifreeze or brine at no extra charge. Dayton's average January lows sit near 20°F, cold enough to freeze an untreated tank. See winter porta potty rental in Ohio for cold-weather tips.
If a gate is locked on service day, text dispatch the gate code or move the visit by text.
How many porta potties does a farm crew need?
OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110 requires 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility for every 20 field workers, located within a quarter-mile walk of where they work. A farm crew of 21 to 40 workers needs 2 toilets and 2 handwashing facilities. Confirm your count with your safety advisor.
| Field workers | Toilets | Handwashing facilities |
|---|---|---|
| 1–20 | 1 | 1 |
| 21–40 | 2 | 2 |
| 41–60 | 3 | 3 |

Crews that move across large fields often use a towable porta potty on a single-axle trailer, so the unit stays within the quarter-mile limit. Pair it with a hand wash station for the handwashing part of the rule.
Can pools, sports fields, parks and marinas rent for the season?
Seasonal sites rent on the same 28-day cycle, often 5 to 7 cycles from spring opening to fall closing. Weekly service is included, and tournament weekends or holiday crowds can add a $45 extra service visit. Public sites should include at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.
- Pools and splash pads: a standard unit plus a hand wash station near the snack bar.
- Youth sports fields: one unit per field cluster, with a second service the week of a big tournament.
- Parks and trailheads: a free padlock hasp lets staff lock units overnight.
- Marinas and campgrounds: a wheelchair-accessible unit helps families with kids and older boaters.
Call or text when the season ends. Billing stops that day, and the unit is picked up on the next available route.
Do churches, cemeteries and parking lots use long-term units?
Churches, cemeteries and parking lots often keep 1 standard unit on site for months at a time, from $175 per 28-day cycle. A church building project, a cemetery with no restroom for grounds crews, or a lot attendant booth each fits a long-term rental with weekly service and a locked hasp.
Tax-exempt churches and nonprofits send their certificate, and sales tax comes off every cycle. Payment works by card over the phone or through a secure text or email pay link, with nothing to print.
Place the unit near the lot entrance or maintenance shed, on firm level ground within about 15 feet of where the service truck can park.
Can I add service, swap units or move the porta potty?
Extra service visits cost $45 each in Zones 1–2 and usually happen the next business day after you call or text. Swapping a standard unit for a deluxe or wheelchair-accessible model is a simple dispatch request. Dispatch quotes the new monthly rate before the swap.

Need the unit moved to another part of the property? Tell dispatch the new spot and mark it with a cone or flag. For crews that move every few days, a towable porta potty on a trailer moves with you. Towable units are quoted by phone.

Common questions
How much is it to rent a standard porta potty for a month?
A standard porta potty starts at $175 per 28-day cycle, plus a one-time $75 delivery and pickup, before tax. Weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking are included. See the porta potty rental cost guide for every line.
If I keep it longer, does it cost more?
Each extra 28-day cycle costs the unit rate only, from $175 for a standard unit. The $75 delivery and pickup is charged once, so the second cycle and every one after it cost less than the first.
Is it billed by calendar month?
Billing runs on 28-day cycles, which equals 4 weekly services per cycle. A full year is 13 cycles. The cycle renews on the same weekday each time until you request pickup.
Do I have to call for pickup?
Long-term units stay until you call or text dispatch for pickup. Billing stops on the day you make that request, even if the truck comes a day or two later.
Can it be serviced twice a week?
A second weekly service is available for busy sites, at $45 per extra visit in Zones 1–2. Pools, ball fields and farm crews often add it during the busiest weeks only.
Is there a charge for winter antifreeze?
Antifreeze is free. From November through March, every weekly service adds non-toxic antifreeze or brine to the tank at no extra charge. With January lows near 20°F, that keeps the tank from freezing between visits.
We're tax exempt. Do we still pay tax every cycle?
Tax-exempt churches, schools and nonprofits send their exemption certificate once, and tax is removed from every cycle on that account. Send it before the first invoice to keep it simple.
