What is inside a deluxe flushing porta potty?
A deluxe flushing porta potty has a fresh-water flush, a built-in hand sink, soap, paper towels, a shelf and a lock. Our deluxe unit is the PolyJohn Fleet with a 60-gallon holding tank. Guests flush with clean water and wash their hands without stepping outside.
- Flushing toilet: fresh-water or recirculating flush, so the bowl looks clean after each use.
- Built-in sink: foot-pump water, soap and paper towels inside the unit.
- Shelf: room for a purse or phone.
- Lock and latch: occupancy indicator on the door.
- Toilet paper: stocked at delivery and each service.
The flush and sink use a fresh-water tank. We refill that water at every service. There is no urinal in the deluxe unit, which leaves more room to move.

Will a flushing porta potty fit through my gate?
A flushing porta potty is 47 inches wide, so plan on about 52 inches of clear gate or path width. A standard 36-inch or 48-inch single gate is too tight. Double gates, driveways and open side yards work well if the spot is within about 15 feet of the truck.
Measure at the narrowest point, including latches and posts. If the backyard gate is narrow, set the unit at the edge of the driveway and run a short path to the party.
The ground must be firm and level. A mild slope is fine. Mark the spot with a cone or flag, or text dispatch a photo. Nobody needs to be home at delivery.
When is a deluxe unit worth it, and when is it the wrong choice?
A deluxe flushing unit is worth it for weddings, bridal and baby showers, backyard parties and older guests. A deluxe unit is the wrong choice for crowds over about 50 people per unit, rough job sites, and gates under 52 inches. Flush water runs low under heavy use.
Worth it
- Weddings and showers where guests wear dress clothes
- Backyard parties and family reunions with older guests
- Small events where you want soap and water but not a second unit outside
Wrong choice
- Big crowds: the flush tank empties with heavy use. For 100+ guests, add units or look at a restroom trailer.
- Construction: crews do fine with a standard porta potty at a lower 28-day price.
- Long events with no service: book a $45 mid-event service so the flush and sink stay full.
- Wheelchair users: the door and floor are not built for a wheelchair.
Deluxe flushing unit vs. standard unit plus a hand wash station
For one event unit, the deluxe flushing porta potty costs $245, while a standard unit plus a hand wash station costs $280. The deluxe keeps the sink inside and adds a flush. The separate wash station serves more people at once and works for food lines.
| Deluxe flushing (Fleet) | Standard + hand wash station | |
|---|---|---|
| Event price | From $245 | From $280 ($165 + $115) |
| Flush | Yes | No |
| Sink location | Inside the unit | Outside, 2 people at once |
| Urinal | No | Yes |
| Footprint | 47 in wide | 43.5 in + 26.5 in wide |
| Best for | Weddings, showers, small parties | Cookouts, food service, larger crowds |
When food is served, guests and cooks need a sink they can reach without entering a toilet. That is where an outside hand wash station wins.

How is a deluxe unit serviced?
A deluxe flushing porta potty on a 28-day rental is serviced once a week. Each visit pumps the 60-gallon tank, scrubs the bowl, sink and floor, refills the flush water, and restocks soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Event units arrive full and clean.
For events longer than one day or over about 50 guests per unit, book a mid-event service for $45. In July and August, a long outdoor event burns through water faster. In winter, we add non-toxic antifreeze at no extra charge.
Common questions
How many flushes does a flushing porta potty have?
The flush runs off a fresh-water tank that we fill at delivery and at each service. Heavy use can empty it in one long day. Plan one deluxe unit per 50 guests for events up to 4 hours, and book a $45 service for longer events.
Is the deluxe porta potty bigger than the standard one?
The deluxe Fleet is 47 inches wide, 3.5 inches wider than the 43.5-inch standard unit. Both are 91 inches tall. Inside, the deluxe has no urinal, so it feels a little roomier.
Does a flushing porta potty need a water hookup?
A deluxe flushing porta potty needs no hose, sewer or power. The flush and sink run from an onboard fresh-water tank that we fill. Only firm, level ground is needed.
Which is cheaper: deluxe with a sink, or a standard plus a hand wash station?
For one unit, the deluxe from $245 is cheaper than a standard plus a hand wash station from $280. For bigger events with food, the outside wash station serves more people at once.
Can I get one deluxe and one standard unit?
Mixing units is common. Many hosts put a deluxe unit near the tent for guests and a standard unit near the parking area. Both arrive on the same delivery.
Can I add a sink unit after I book?
You can swap a standard unit for a deluxe unit by calling or texting dispatch before delivery. Peak wedding weekends sell out, so ask early to hold one.
Will it be clean for my wedding?
Every deluxe unit is pumped, scrubbed, stocked and filled with fresh flush water before delivery. Weekend weddings get Friday delivery, so the unit sits ready on Saturday.
