Preble County fair and festival season: when to book
Preble County has two big fairground weeks. The Preble County Fair in Eaton ran August 1–8 in 2026, and the Preble County Pork Festival fills the same fairgrounds each September. Vendors, campers and nearby churches renting their own units should book 2–3 weeks ahead for those dates.
Fair and festival organizers set their own sanitation plans, so vendors should ask the fair office where units may go. Food stands need a temporary food license from the county health department and a hand wash station within reach.
Field crews follow OSHA 1928.110: 1 toilet and 1 wash station per 20 workers within a quarter-mile walk. Treat this as planning guidance for Preble County, and confirm with the office in charge.
Barn weddings and farm work: typical Preble County rentals
Preble County rentals lean toward barn and farm weddings, harvest crews and church or family reunions on rural property. A 150-guest wedding running 6 hours with a bar needs about 7 units, or one 4-stall restroom trailer. Farm crews usually take a standard unit on a 28-day cycle.
| Preble County job | What to rent | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| Barn wedding, 150 guests, 6 hours, bar | 7 units incl. 1 accessible + 2 wash stations, or a 4-stall trailer | wedding porta potty rental |
| Family reunion on a farm, 80 guests, 4 hours | 2 deluxe flushing units with sinks | deluxe flushing porta potty |
| Harvest or hay crew of 15 | 1 standard unit + 1 wash station | seasonal rental |
| Pork Festival vendor booth | 1 standard unit + 1 wash station for staff | event rental |
Renting in Preble County?
A local dispatcher answers Mon–Sat, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.. Have your ZIP, dates and headcount ready, and you get an itemized price on the call.
Can a restroom trailer work at a rural Preble County venue?
A restroom trailer works at a rural Preble County venue when three things are in place. A pickup must tow it to a level spot about 20 by 8 feet. A 120V, 20-amp outlet must sit within 100 feet, and a garden hose or onboard tank fill supplies water.
Many barns have one outdoor outlet shared with lights and caterers. Ask the venue whether a separate 20-amp circuit is free. If not, deluxe flushing units need no power at all.
